Knipex 160mm VDE-insulated diagonal cutter, individually tested to 10,000V and certified safe for use to 1000V AC, in the versatile mid-size 160mm format. The VDE insulation is the defining distinction from the standard 7002160, the chrome-plated head and multi-component insulated handles make this the correct diagonal cutter for working in or near live electrical environments where an uninsulated tool represents a genuine safety risk. The precision cutting edges handle soft and hard wire cleanly across the full range of electrical installation tasks, with the narrow head profile giving access in confined spaces where the work is most often found.

- VDE certified to 1000V — individually tested — The tool carries full VDE certification and has been individually tested to 10,000V for safe use to 1000V AC, conforming to DIN EN/IEC 60900; in live electrical working environments individual testing rather than batch approval is the only meaningful standard, and it is what this tool delivers
- Induction-hardened cutting edges at 62 HRC — The cutting edges are precision-ground and induction-hardened to approximately 62 HRC, handling soft wire up to 3mm and hard wire up to 2mm cleanly and without deformation; the elongated cutting edge design also allows precise cutting of fine copper wire right to the tips — a capability that matters in electrical termination work where conductor ends need to be clean and undamaged
