Blue-Master Rebar Cutter SDS-Plus 16 x 300mm
The 16mm rebar cutter - matched to M12 through-bolt and resin anchor holes, where hitting steel usually means moving the fixing. Carbide tip ground for steel, run in rotation only with water for cooling, then swap back to the concrete bit and finish the hole. SDS-Plus, 300mm. Lift the swarf out with a magnet before resuming, or the concrete bit won't advance past it.

- Cuts through reinforcing bar when a concrete drill hits steel mid-hole - no repositioning, no abandoned hole
- 16mm diameter x 300mm length, SDS-Plus shank
- Carbide tip ground for cutting steel rather than percussing concrete
- Rotation only - hammer action must be switched off or the tip will be destroyed
- Use with water for cooling
- Clear the metal swarf from the hole with a magnet before switching back to hammer drilling - chips left in the hole will stop the concrete bit dead
- Works where the rebar covers no more than a third of the tip; beyond that the bit is loaded off-centre
