A 5/8"-14 BSF machine tap in HSS-E to DIN 374. At this diameter the torque is well beyond what a tap wrench handles comfortably, so it wants a drill press or tapping head and a rigidly held workpiece. The cobalt content holds an edge at machine speeds where plain HSS gives up. BSF is a legacy fine thread - check against BSW at 11 TPI before ordering.
