Blue-Master Machine Tap DIN 374 HSS-E - 1/4" x 26 BSF
A 1/4"-26 BSF machine tap in HSS-E, made to DIN 374 for fine-pitch threads. The cobalt content is what earns its keep - it holds an edge at machine tapping speeds where plain HSS softens and picks up. BSF is a legacy thread, so this is mostly repair and restoration work on older machinery and plant; check the pitch carefully, as BSW at 20 TPI is easily confused with it. For machine use, not a tap wrench.
